Community service efforts for CREW Richmond were a huge success this year as we looked to impact a variety of local organizations.

Our 2018 efforts kicked off over the spring through our sponsorship of a Women’s Build Day with the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Our team of 8, hard hats and all, provided construction support for a house that will help a local family receive much needed housing.

Next, CREW hosted our annual summer social to benefit Dress for Success in its mis-sion to help women in the community by empowering them with a path to economic independence. The event was a huge success, including generous donations to our live auction MC’d by local celebrity Parney from the Squirrels baseball team. Through the generous donations of attendees and sponsors, the event resulted in a $4,000 do-nation to Dress for Success.

We ended the year with a supplies drive to support the mission of Sophie’s House. So-phie’s House is a local organization dedicated to providing “encouragement, support-ive services, and housing for single women and single women with children, that will move them from instability to stability.”

CREW Richmond’s 2018 philanthropy led to a whirlwind year, but we are so pleased to benefit multiple local organizations who go out of their way daily to make positive im-pacts to our community. Thank you to everyone within CREW who donated, whether it was time, goods or monetary. All of your donations went to make an important impact to our community.
