April Meeting Construction Progress Tour Of Main Street Station

On Wednesday, April 19, 2017, CREW Richmond enjoyed a tour of Main Street Station, led by the Project Development Manager, Jeannie Welliver. While Main Street Station was built in 1901 by the Seaboard Air Line Railroad, today Main Street Station serves as a multi-modal transportation terminal, linking regional passenger rail, BRT and the Virginia Capital Trail and housing the Virginia Welcome Center and the City’s largest electric vehicle charging station. 

Beyond transportation, Main Street Station will be home to an indoor marketplace on the first floor that is equipped to accommodate up to three restaurant spaces and an event venue containing 47,000 square feet of space that can host up to 3,300 people.
