    What Is CREW?

    CREW Richmond, founded in 1990, is a professional organization formed to provide a forum for women in the commercial real estate business and related industries. The purpose of the organization is to advance our members by developing skills, increasing knowledge, and expanding networks. 

    CREW Network, a national network of Commercial Real Estate Women, is comprised of nearly 9,000 individual members in over 70 chapters in North America. It was formed in 1989 to facilitate communication and interaction among commercial real estate professionals on local, regional and national levels.

    Who Are Our Members?

    CREW Richmond has a diverse membership of real estate professionals who are involved in various disciplines within the commercial real estate profession. Our members include appraisers, architects, attorneys, corporate real estate executives, developers, environmental consultants, interior and space designers, lenders, property and asset managers, regional marketers, sales and leasing agents, and title insurance providers. Many of Richmond's prominent real estate firms, law firms, banks and public companies are represented in our chapter.

    CREW Activities and Benefits

    • Monthly meetings, held either at lunch or after work, often feature prominent speakers involved in the field of commercial real estate and other programs may feature topics related to personal and professional development
    • Annual national convention as well as two regional conferences held in various locations throughout North America
    • Exchange of information and ideas among members and between national member organizations

    CREW Richmond Committees

    Our Board of Directors meets monthly and is comprised of five officers (President, Past-President, President-Elect, Treasurer and Secretary) and seven directors (Network Liaison, Community Service, Communications, Sponsorship, Media Relations, Membership, and Programs). In addition to the Board of Directors, the activities of CREW Richmond are organized by the following committees:


    Sponsorship Committee

    Identify local and national sponsorship opportunities and actively solicits these companies

    Community Service Committee

    To identify opportunities for CREW-Richmond and its members to engage in community service projects in the Richmond metropolitan area, plan and coordinate such projects

    Communications Committee

    Publish monthly newsletter, coordinate public relations,promote the chapter and its activities

    Membership Committee

    Send and receive applications and update membership lists with CREW Network, coordinates with Secretary to send our meeting notices.

    Programs Committee

    Contact prominent real estate industry speakers for monthly programs, handles meeting arrangements.  

    Media Relations Committee

    To publicize and promote information on chapter events and highlight membership news and accomplishments through press releases and social media

    Network Liaison Committee

    To provide an active link between CREW Network and CREW Richmond membership as well as support the CREW Network outreach agenda designed to cultivate future women industry leaders
